NAHB BuilderBooks Offers Free Advertising for NAHB Members

Last month, in celebration of Homeownership Month, NAHB launched a new consumer imprint, MyHome Press. Products with the MyHome Press imprint are designed to help current and future home owners make sound decisions when building, buying, maintaining, and remodeling their homes.

BuilderBooks wants to showcase the homes HBA members build and remodel by pinning them on the MyHome Press Pinterest boards. Our customers are already on Pinterest so you should be there too. If BuilderBooks posts your project, they will include your company name and a link to your website. Pinterest users will be able to repin their photos for others to see giving you even more visibility—hence creating free advertising. Plus, for each photo you provide, you will receive 1 entry into the drawing to win a $350 Home Depot gift card. The winner will be drawn on August 30, 2013.

Take a look at a copy of the flier and entry form. Photos must be submitted by August 19, 2013, so enter today!

If you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact Patricia Potts at ppotts@nahb.org or 202-266-8224.

State Transportation Commission Earmarks Interstate Roads For Funding

Improvements on some 90 miles of interstate highways in South Carolina could move closer to fruition if the Transportation Infrastructure Bank accepts the recommendation of the S.C. Department of Transportation Commission.
The commission designated seven major interstate improvement projects to be funded with bond proceeds approved by the General Assembly in the 2013 session. The commission approved a resolution July 18th urging the Transportation Infrastructure Bank board to “fully utilize and adhere to the South Carolina Department of Transportation Commission’s recommendations” for projects to be financed.
